Police were seen circling a car as they detained a man on a major road in Tameside this afternoon.
Officers were 'called to a report of a disturbance at an address on Cotton Tree Court in Reynold Street, Hyde ' at around 1:20pm this afternoon Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
The Manchester Evening News understands police were told a suspect who left the scene was armed with a blade, sparking a manhunt that involved the police helicopter and a large number of officers.
