A man was arrested after a police chase through a town centre last night.
Merseyside Police confirmed the man had been held after they "pursued" a car in the Portland Street area of Southport last night. The 38-year-old was also found to be in possession of class A drugs after he was eventually stopped.
Sefton Police Facebook page posted about the arrest, confirming a man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and possession with intent to supply class A drugs. The arrest comes after an apparent a crackdown on dangerous driving and drug supply by Sefton-based police officers.
