Police charge woman with firearm offences after officer shot in Nottingham

Nottingham Police IN FULL
  • Aisha Zaman, 27, has been charged with firearm offences following the shooting of a police officer in Nottingham city centre.
  • The officer suffered a gunshot wound to the foot after approaching two suspicious individuals on Angel Row and remains in hospital.
  • Zaman has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Friday.
  • Police have arrested a total of seven people across Nottingham, Bedfordshire, and London in connection with the incident.
  • Detective Chief Superintendent Rich Bull thanked the public for their support as officers continue to follow several lines of inquiry.
