Queensland police have charged a 40-year-old man with murder in relation to the disappearance of Lachlan Griffiths, who was last seen in Brisbane more than a month ago.

Police said Mr Griffiths, 35, from Indooroopilly, was last seen on the morning of January 16 at an apartment complex in Herschel Street in Brisbane's CBD.

They believe Mr Griffiths travelled in a car with unknown people to a business in Coopers Plains, in southern Brisbane.

Mr Griffiths was reported missing on January 26 by family members who said he was normally in regular contact with them.

A 40-year-old man from Tingalpa appeared in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody to appear in court again on March 28.

Investigations are continuing and police want to hear from anyone with knowledge of the incident or relevant dash cam or CCTV footage.

Police searched this Coopers Plains business last week in relation to Mr Griffiths' disappearance. (ABC News: Audrey Courty)
