Police called to Frankie Valli’s home after son’s alleged restraining order violation

Police were called to Frankie Valli’s home over the weekend after a 911 call reported a domestic dispute with his estranged son.

The Los Angeles Police Department rushed to the 92-year-old singer’s Los Angeles house Sunday evening after receiving a report that Frankie’s son Francesco Valli Jr., 38, had allegedly violated his restraining order, LAPD told People.

Dispatch audio obtained by the outlet revealed someone telling the police that a man — identified by police as Francesco — was “banging on the door demanding entry.”

Police said that by the time they arrived just moments after the call, Francesco had already fled. There was no evidence of a crime and no report was taken from the scene. No arrests were made.

“This is a private family matter, and it was resolved before the authorities arrived,” Frankie’s representatives said in a statement shared with The Independent.

Francesco is Frankie’s first of three sons with his third wife, Randy Clohessy. He previously worked as an actor, appearing in small parts on Full House and in the 2008 movie The House Bunny.

In April 2024, Frankie and his younger son, Emilio, were granted a three-year restraining order against Francesco after he allegedly tried to break into his famous father’s property.

Emilio claimed in the filing that Francesco “repeatedly physically threatened to harm or kill” him and Frankie.

He told police that similar threats had been happening for “several months” and that the conflict escalated after Frankie cut Francesco off financially. Emilio said in the filing that his family believes that Francesco is “addicted to opiates,” and claimed that he had pawned off some of their father’s belongings to support his alleged habit.

Until the restraining order is set to expire in April 2027, Francesco has been ordered to have no contact with his brother and dad and to stay at least 100 yards away from their homes, cars and places of work.

“Frankie is saddened by these unfortunate events and appreciates that his privacy will be respected as he works out these family issues,” Frankie’s representative said in a statement at the time.

The “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” singer shares Francesco and twins Emilio and Brando with Clohessy. He had three daughters with his first wife, Mary Mandel: Celia, Antonia and Francine. Celia died in an accident aged 25 in 1980, and Francine died in a separate incident that year at age 20.
