A four-year-old boy has died the day before Christmas after a "serious medical incident" at a Center Parcs resort this morning. Wiltshire Police said officers had attended the leisure complex at Longleat, Wiltshire, in support of the South Western Ambulance Service on Christmas Eve morning.
“Sadly, it’s been confirmed that a four-year-old boy has died following an incident at Center Parcs Longleat Forest near Warminster shortly after 11am this morning,” a Wiltshire Police spokesman said.
“This is not being treated as suspicious. Our thoughts are with the boy’s family at this difficult time.”
A Center Parcs spokesperson earlier confirmed that the incident took place in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise - which includes water rides and slides. A woman earlier told The Sun families looked on in horror as a child was reportedly pulled from the water.
An air ambulance was also reportedly called to assist at the scene but sadly the boy could not be saved.
