Police attack sentence shows 'dire fault'

A police attacker's inadequate jail sentence demonstrates a "dire fault" within Victoria's legal system, the state's police union says.

Steven Cleary was last month jailed for three years and two months for a "horrific" daylight attack against two officers at Warrnambool in October 2021.
