A Michigan mother has been arrested after abandoning her three children in horrific squalor. The home was described as 'deplorable', with garbage piled up to four feet, human waste, mould, an overflowing toilet, and a bathtub filled with faeces. Sheriff Michael Bouchard condemned the conditions, stating: 'This environment would be intolerable for an animal, let alone three children.'
