Police arrested a man carrying a huge machete at Manchester Victoria train station on Monday night (October 31). Officers found the male to be in possession of the large blade when carrying out patrols at the station.
Sharing a picture of the weapon, Greater Manchester Police's city centre division announced they had arrested the man who has been taken into custody to be questioned.
Along with the image, they said it showed 'some of the dangers officers face' when out on the job. They took the image of the machete beside a ruler to show its size.

Police had been carrying out knife crime patrols in the city centre on Monday evening when they made the shocking discovery.
In an update, the GMP City Centre page wrote on Facebook: "Officers were carrying out uniform and plain clothes knife crime patrols tonight at Manchester Victoria station and have arrested a male carrying this machete.
"The male is currently in custody awaiting interview. Some of the dangers officers face.."
