Police arrest man and woman during Celtic title party celebrations

Two people were arrested during Celtic title party celebrations.

Police have confirmed one man and one woman were arrested for breach of the peace on Sunday after the team secured their second Scottish Premiership title in a row at Tynecastle.

Thousands of Celtic fans gathered outside of Parkhead stadium to greet the team after they bet Hearts 2-0 in Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon.

Players were given a hero's welcome as a sea of green and white smoke filled the air, with thousands spotted on the Celtic Way and outside of the Main Stand.

Fans were videoed wearing football tops and draped in flags as they partied outside of the stadium.

Hoops boss Ange Postecoglou posed for photographs on the pitch and then led his team outside to greet supporters.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "There was one man and one woman arrested for breach of the peace."
