A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm in Trafford this morning.
Shortly after 5:30am this morning, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers arrested a 27-year-old man at an address on on Longford Close, Stretford.
Officers have issued a statement, saying they will 'always take action against those suspected of criminality concerning firearms'.

In a tweet, GMP said: "Shortly after 5:30am this morning officers arrested a 27-year-old man on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm after officers attended an address on Longford Close, Stretford.
"GMP will always take action against those suspected of criminality concerning firearms."
