A 16-year-old girl who went missing from Peterlee has been found and is safe, police have confirmed.
Durham Constabulary issued a public appeal to help find a teenager after she was reported missing since the early hours of this morning.
Thandi was reported missing at around 1.45am this morning and was last seen at her home in Peterlee.

However, officers have now confirmed that Thandi has been found safe. Durham Constabulary has thanked the public for their help in the search.
