Police are asking the public for their help after a teenager was hit by a car in a Lanarkshire street.
Road Policing officers are appealing for information after a serious road crash in Burnbank Road, Hamilton on Friday, January 20.
Around 8pm, a 16-year-old male pedestrian was stuck by a Renault Clio being driven by a 32-year-old man.
Police and ambulance attended and the teenager was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Hospital staff describe his condition as serious. The driver and his two passengers were uninjured.
Sergeant Craig McDonald told Lanarkshire Live: “Enquiries are continuing into the cause of the crash and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident who has not yet spoken to police to contact us.
“I am also keen to obtain any dash-cam from drivers who were in the area of Burnbank Road around the time of the crash.
“Anyone with information should contact Road Policing Officers through 101 quoting reference number 3491 of 20 January.”
