Detectives are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after a motorcyclist died in a crash near Canary Wharf.
Officers were called at around 5.20pm on Thursday September 14 after the vehicle hit the central reservation on Aspen Way.
Members of the public, including an off-duty Met police officer, administered CPR prior to the arrival of emergency services but despite their best efforts, the 51-year-old man died at the scene.
Officers have informed his next of kin but await formal identification.
Detectives from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are working to establish what happened in the moments leading up to and at the time of the crash.
