Police appeal as man fighting for his life in hospital following north London crash

A man has been left fighting for his life in hospital following a crash in northwest London.

Police were called to reports of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian on High Street, Harlesden, just before 7.30pm on Wednesday.

Officers attended the scene alongside London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance.

The pedestrian, A 41-year-old man, was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

The driver stopped at the scene and has been assisting police with enquiries.

No arrests have been made at this stage.

Police are now appealing to the public for any information about the incident, particularly dashcam footage of the collision.

Detective Sergeant Fiaz Janjua, from the Met’s Serious Collison Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this incident and our investigation remains ongoing.

“We continue to review relevant CCTV footage. We are appealing to the public for help and ask that anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police as soon as possible. Any information could assist enquiries.
