A witness appeal has been launched by police in Lanarkshire after a man suffered a serious facial injury.
The attack took place on Donaldson Road in Larkhall around 3.30am on Saturday.
A 39-year-old man was assaulted by another man who made off. He sustained a serious facial injury that required hospital treatment.

Detective Constable Christine McLanachan, of Cambuslang CID, said: “We are asking anyone one who may have seen what happened, or anything suspicious to get in touch.
“If you were driving in the area at the time and have dash-cam that could help with our ongoing enquiries then please also make contact with us.”
