Police and DVLA officers carry out vehicle inspections in Falkirk

Police, DVLA and HM Revenue and Customs officers say they've found numerous vehicle defects during safety inspections in Falkirk.

A total of 40 vehicles were stopped and checked over at the Falkirk Stadium earlier today.

Twelve prohibition and defect notices were issued and officers also dealt with offences.

They included for things such as no MOT, no insurance, disqualified driving and red diesel.

A stolen vehicle was also recovered during the random stops, but it's not known if any arrests have been made.

Pictures from the scene shows numerous vans and vans being checked over in the football stadium car park this morning.
