Police and paramedics scrambled to a residential road to respond to a medical emergency.
Emergency workers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) arrived on Gaskell Street this afternoon. Images from Manchester Evening News photographers show police tape and a cop van in attendance.
However, that cordon was not in place to protect evidence, GMP has now confirmed. It also added that rumours on social media of a ‘stabbing’ were untrue.
