Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk has announced a Cabinet reshuffle to replace four ministers who are running for the European Parliament next month. This move is not only aimed at filling the vacant positions but also at injecting new energy into Tusk's government, which began its term in December and has been implementing significant reforms in various sectors, such as justice and the media.

The outgoing ministers include Culture Minister Bartlomiej Sienkiewicz, who played a key role in the restructuring of state-owned media outlets, as well as the Minister of the Interior and Administration, Marcin Kierwinski. Additionally, the Minister of State Assets, Borys Budka, and the Minister of Development and Technology, Krzysztof Hetman, have been replaced.

Prime Minister Tusk emphasized that while his own tenure is not indefinite, the outgoing ministers have successfully carried out their responsibilities. The new appointments include Tomasz Siemonika as the Interior Minister, who previously served as the Defense Minister in Tusk's earlier government. Hanna Wroblewska has been appointed as the new Culture Minister, while Jakub Jaworowski will oversee state assets, with a focus on ongoing audits. Krzysztof Paszyk has been named as the new Minister of Development and Technology.

Tusk's government, which is known for its pro-European Union stance, has been actively reversing the policies of the previous right-wing administrations that governed Poland from 2015 to 2023. During that period, Poland's relationship with the EU became strained due to conflicting ideologies and approaches.
