Pokemon voice actor Billy Kametz has lost his battle with cancer aged just 35.
The actor was best known for playing Ren in Pokemon Journeys in the anime series.
News of the star's death was announced on his GoFundMe page.
Billy set up the page telling fans he was "ok" and starting chemotherapy treatments and radiation on his spine for Stage 4 colon cancer.
However he sadly lost his life shortly after revealing his diagnosis.
A tribute to the actor read: "Anyone who has met Billy Kametz will tell you he is one of the warmest, kindest, most-sincere human beings on this earth.
"Quick to laugh with his infectious smile, he brings joy to everyone around him — whether that is a room full of friends and family, fans at conventions... or the nurses and doctors who attended to him in the hospital.
"Most importantly, I hope you know how appreciated you all were and how much strength you provided. Billy and I would regularly share thoughts of disbelief and joy at the outpouring of generosity you all gave him."
Billy's friend added the star "left this world peacefully, knowing how loved he is and always will be".
They continued: "I miss my friend terribly. But it comforts me that his legacy will continue with his work and all of the fans who are even now discovering what an extraordinary man he was."
The actor previously called his diagnosis a "freak of nature thing that happened" in a YouTube video.
"I'm staying really positive, and that's the biggest reason that I wanted to make this video," he told his fans.
"It's just to let you know that I have so much support, so much positivity surrounding me… I just want to let you guys know that I'm not going to quit, I'm not going to stop fighting, and I'm gonna get through this."
Billy used to work for Disney as part of the entertainment staff for its cruise line.
He then bagged the role of Aladdin in Disneyland's Musical Spectacular.
The talented voice actor later went onto play Josuke in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure as well as Dr. Maruki in Persona 5 Royal.
