Niantic announced that a new event is coming to Pokémon GO. The Ultra Space Wonders event is all set to begin on May 23. It's going to run until May 28.
In this event, Naganadel, the Poison Pin Pokémon, is making its official debut in the game. In addition, beginning with this event, Trainers can now evolve Poipole into Naganadel by using 200 Poipole Candy after catching 20 Dragon-type Pokémon with Poipole as their Buddy.
However, that's not all there is to it. Two other Pokémon are making their debut in the game and these are:
- Stakataka, the Rampart Pokémon, makes its debut in five-star raids in the Eastern Hemisphere.
- Blacephalon, the Fireworks Pokémon, makes its debut in five-star raids in the Western Hemisphere.
While it's exciting to know that three Pokémon are making its debut in the game, there's not much in terms of event bonus. Still, it's one that trainers are sure to like since its 2× XP for winning Ultra Beast Raid Battles.

Do the Research
Trainers should be happy to know that the final part of the Seasonal Special Research is going to available to every once the event starts. Those who can complete tasks get to earn XP, Rare Candy, Mysterious Components, encounters with event-themed Pokémon, and Poipole Candy.
There's also an event-exclusive Timed Research that traines can access though they'll need to get a ticket worth $5. Timed Research rewards include:
- Four Premium Battle Passes, one Lucky Egg, and more!
- Encounters with Mareanie
- Naganadel Wings avatar item
