"Pokémon Champions" has rolled out a fresh update that finally answers a request players have been making since launch.
Alongside a wave of new Pokémon and battle mechanics, the update introduces a way for trainers to look back at what actually happened during a match.
'Pokémon Champions' Adds View Log Feature
The newest update for "Pokémon Champions" has introduced a View Log feature, giving players a way to track what happened during their battles for the first time.
Since launch, trainers have been asking for better tools to review matches, and this addition marks the first real step toward meeting that demand.
The update also adds a Selection Support tool and expanded battle arenas, showing that the developers are paying attention to feedback beyond just adding new Pokemon each season.
View Log feature Lets You Review All Actions
The View Log records a full history of every action taken during a current battle, letting players trace back through each move, switch, and decision in order. It does not, however, function as a full replay system, since it only displays a list of what happened rather than letting players watch the match play out again.
Selection Support, the other new addition, tells players whether a chosen Pokémon is considered strong or weak against the opposing team during the selection phase. It does not account for coverage moves or partner synergies, meaning it works best as a rough guide rather than a definitive answer.
'Pokémon Champions' Regulation Set M-C
The update also brought Regulation Set M-C, the game's third competitive ruleset, which went live on September 9 and will run through December 2. This regulation introduces Z Mega Evolutions to "Pokémon Champions" for the first time, a mechanic originally introduced in "Pokémon Legends: Z-A."
The timing lines up well with the new View Log feature, since Regulation M-C also brings terrain-setting Pokémon like Rillaboom and Indeedee into the mix. Having a record of battle events should help newer players understand how terrain effects interact with other moves.
What to Expect From Regulation Set M-C
New Pokémon joining the roster:
- Rillaboom, a Grass-type known for setting Grassy Terrain in competitive play
- Baxcalibur, a Dragon and Ice type Pokemon
- Salamence, a Dragon and Flying type
- Golisopod, a Bug and Water type
- Indeedee, in both its male and female forms, serving as a Psychic Terrain setter.
- Additional Pokemon rounding out the roster, including Pincurchin, Toxtricity, Mabosstiff, Pawmot, Arboliva, and Squawkabilly.
New Mega Evolutions confirmed:
- Mega Absol Z (with Sharpness ability)
- Mega Lucario Z (with Aura Guard ability)
- Mega Garchomp Z (with Levitate ability)
- Mega Golisopod (with Emergency Exit ability)
- Mega Salamence
- Mega Baxcalibur
New held items and abilities:
- Mega Stones tied to each of the new Mega Evolutions
- Defensive items including Rocky Helmet, Red Card, and Eject Button
- A full set of terrain Seeds
- New abilities such as Grass Pelt, Run Away, and Rattled arriving alongside the new Pokémon
