Pod Point boss rejects SMMT call for electric vehicle charging watchdog

The boss of one of Britain’s biggest electric vehicle charging businesses has rejected calls for a government watchdog to police the industry.

Erik Fairbairn, CEO of Pod Point, said it was up to the private sector to ensure charging points rolled out quickly enough to sustain the growing market for electric cars.
