Where to keep a handkerchief (Letters, 5 October)? I find that tucking it under the bra strap on the shoulder works OK, provided I’m not wearing a high neck. But braless in the hot weather, I had to fall back on the solution recommended by my mother in the 50s: up your knicker leg. Not so easy to extract discreetly.
