PM urged to include ‘deep dive’ into ombudsman appointment in vetting review

The Prime Minister has been urged to ensure that a probe into Government security vetting following revelations about Lord Mandelson also includes a “deep dive” into the appointment of a former police ombudsman in Northern Ireland.

DUP leader Gavin Robinson claimed that Marie Anderson had been appointed to the role in 2019 “despite security concerns”.
