KANPUR: As the election days are approaching, the parties are busy campaigning vigorously and leaving no stone unturned to make their candidates victorious.
In this sequence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to campaign in favour of the party candidates in the region from February 12 to February 19 through his election meetings.
The PM is likely to address an election meeting in Kanpur Dehat on February 14, in Tirwa area of Kannauj on February 12 and in between February 17 to 19 in Fatehpur district.
District president BJP (Kanpur Dehat) Avinash Singh Chauhan and other office-bearers on Wednesday inspected the three grounds, including the ground near the Government College of Akbarpur, along the side of National Highway.
Regional president Manvendra Singh had also made an inspection of the three grounds in Kanpur Dehat on Tuesday.
Media in-charge (Kanpur Dehat) Vikas Mishra said that preparations are being made for the proposed programme of the PM.
“As of now, rallies can be held at the Thakur Yugraj Singh Mahavidyalaya and Food Corporation of India (FCI) ground on the Bahua Road. We have suggested both the spots for the PM’s rally and the same is being told to district and police authorities. Now, we are awaiting the final protocol of the PM’s program,” said Mishra further.
Meanwhile, in Kannauj, the officials of the administration and police on Tuesday inspected the Maveshi Bazar ground near the Maa Annapurna Temple in Tirwa. This is the venue where the Prime Minister’s public meeting is being proposed.
BJP district president (Kannauj) Narendra Rajput told the media persons on Wednesday that the PM is likely to come in Tirwa area of the district on February 12.
“After getting permission from the administration, the final protocol of the programme will be released,” said Rajput further.
Fatehpur (Sadar) MLA Vikram Singh, however, said that the date for the rally is proposed between February 17 and 19. “Preparations are in full swing. We are now awaiting final protocol in this regard,” said Singh further.
Kanpur Dehat and Kannauj will go for polls in the third phase on February 20 while Fatehpur in the fourth phase on February 23.
