Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Canada in December as New Delhi and Ottawa push to conclude negotiations for a trade agreement by the end of the year, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney said on Tuesday.
Speaking at a news briefing on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Carney said negotiations between the two countries were progressing well and described Canada's relationship with India as "exceptionally important".
