NEW DELHI: In its first reaction to a BJP MP’s remarks on Friday that the word ‘India’ should be removed from the Constitution as it is a symbol of colonial slavery, the Congress said the ruling party is feeling nervous and has got rattled.
Talking to media persons in the Congress headquarters on Friday, party’s Rajya Sabha MP and national spokesperson Syed Naseer Hussain said the BJP leaders have become nervous ever since the group of 26 opposition parties named their bloc as INDIA, an acronym for Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance, in Bengaluru on July 18.
