The prime minister has admitted he was wrong about the use of a multi-million-dollar, invite-only grant given to a golf course in his electorate.

The government is spending $6 million on upgrades to the Marrickville Golf Club in Anthony Albanese's Sydney-based electorate of Grayndler.
