A new gelato place is coming to Edinburgh, taking over the old Take It Away Spud shop that served baked potatoes in the capital's lively Stockbridge area.
The new venue will be run by the enthusiastic Joelato Gelato team, who have already proven popular with the locals, thanks to their much-loved St James Quarter spot.
Announcing the fantastic news on their Instagram page, the team said: "We're beyond excited to announce that we'll be opening our second Edinburgh shop in December, in our dream location of Stockbridge.

"We're taking on the old Take It Away Spud shop (sorry to all the Baked potato lovers) at 31 North West Circus Place, and over the next few weeks, we'll share some pics as we begin renovations.
"All of this means that you'll soon be able to get your Joelato fix in both Bonnie & Wild and Stockbridge."
Joelato Gelato are proudly supporting local producers and use locally sourced ingredients in their constantly developing menu. Making all the sauces and syrups themselves, the team are praised for delivering outstanding taste with only natural ingredients.
Currently, the gelato masters are back with their one-off festive menu available for delivery across Scotland. The menu includes Joelato Gelato's best-seller, Salted Pistachio flavour, which was acknowledged with the Great Taste 2021 award.
You can find out more and stock up on delicious gelato on the company's website.
