The Chicago Bulls bounced back on Wednesday to get a 117-115 crunch time victory over the Detroit Pistons.
Chicago held a 21-point lead in the third quarter but the Pistons fought back head into the fourth, where they outscored the Bulls, 29-16.
With just 9.1 seconds remaining with the Bulls up 114-112, Pistons rookie Jaden Ivey called a timeout on an inbounds play, yet Detroit was out of timeouts, which sealed the game for Chicago.
Zach LaVine led the Bulls with 41 points on 14-of-20 from the field, 6-of-9 from 3-point range, and a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line, including 19 points in the third where Chicago’s lead jumped to double digits.

DeMar DeRozan: B+
DeMar DeRozan bounced back from Tuesday’s performance in Wednesday’s win vs. Detroit, finishing with 21 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists on 7-of-16 from the floor and 7-of-9 from the free throw line.
Zach LaVine: A+
Zach LaVine dominated on Wednesday night, finishing with 41 points on 14-of-20 from the field, 6-of-9 from downtown, and a perfect 7-of-7 from the charity stripe, including 19 points in the third quarter.
Nikola Vucevic: B-
Nikola Vucevic struggled shooting from the field, finishing with just 12 points, nine rebounds, and two assists on just 5-of-15 shooting and 0-of-5 from 3-point range.
Patrick Beverley: A
Pat Bev has brought another Alex Caruso-like player to the starting lineup, finishing with five points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and four steals on a team-high +16 in the win.
Alex Caruso: B-
Alex Caruso finished with eight points, one rebound, and two assists on 2-of-5 shooting from the field in 20 minutes of action on Wednesday.
Coby White: A-
Coby White played well in Wednesday’s win, finishing with 14 points, two rebounds, five assists, and three steals on 5-of-11 shooting from the field and 3-of-6 from downtown.
