A number of changes could be made to a Nottinghamshire town centre as part of plans to breath new life into the area. Derelict or disused buildings could be brought back into use in Hucknall, and shutters could be ditched on high-street stores to open up shop fronts.
Cabinet members on Ashfield District Council will decide this week whether to adopt a wide-ranging masterplan for Hucknall town centre.
The 38-page document will come before the Ashfield Independent administration on Tuesday (July 19) setting out the authority’s plan to bring more people into the popular town and improve its “vibrant” nightlife.
