Plans to demolish historic M&S on Sauchiehall Street to create student flats brought forward

Sauchiehall Street Marks and Spencer Glasgow

Plans to demolish the former Marks and Spencer store on Sauchiehall Street to create student accommodation have been brought forward.

Developers are looking to create purpose-built student accommodation for around 500 residents complete with a rooftop garden on the busy shopping street.

As well as a publicly accessible link between Sauchiehall Street and Renfrew Street being reinstated, new commercial units on the ground floor would also be created.
