Plans revealed to turn Cowbridge pub into home in latest planning round up for the Vale of Glamorgan

An application to turn a Cowbridge pub into a detached five bedroom home has been submitted. Other planning updates in the Vale of Glamorgan over the past week include approved plans to turn a former office space in Penarth into a laser treatment centre and a proposal to develop a plot of land on a Barry residential street.

Here is the latest round up of planning applications made to and decided by the Vale of Glamorgan Council:

Barry

Plans to develop a plot of land on a residential street in Barry by building a new three storey home have been approved. The three-bedroom end of terrace home, planned for land at 24 Jewel Street will come with a front and rear garden.

A decision notice confirming the council's decision to grant the application for a former HSBC bank to turn into a Specsavers as the opticians was also confirmed on August 8.

Penarth

A building currently used as an office in Penarth is set to be turned into a laser treatment centre. Planning permission to turn the building to the rear of 1 Machen Street into a centre that offers cosmetic laser treatment was granted by the council.

Cowbridge

An application has been made to turn a pub in Cowbridge into a home. The Vale of Glamorgan Council published a site notice detailing plans to turn the Cross Inn on Church Road into a five-bedroom home. The Cross Inn, located near the Glyndwr Vineyard, announced their closure on social media in July 2021.
