Plans lodged to transform Dublin Docklands building into huge food market

Plans have been lodged to transform a Docklands building into a huge food market.

The owners of the CHQ building have applied to Dublin City Council to turn their ground floor into a food market and event space. A new central entrance at George's Dock is also part of the plans.

The plans also include the development of.a five-storey, 40,000 sq ft mixed-use building at the site, which would include office space. The building is currently owned by former Coca-Cola chief Neville Isdell and his stepbrother Mervyn Greene.

The CHQ building currently houses shops, offices, the innovation hub Dogpatch Labs, and the EPIC Irish emigration museum. It is unclear how the current tenants would e affected by the new plans, according to The Times.
