A row of old workshops in the south of Edinburgh could be transformed into several plush flats.
A planning application has been submitted to turn several old buildings in the Morningside area into four one-bedroom and one two-bedroom apartments.
The site, at 46 Balcarres Street, is situated behind a row of four-storey tenements and is accessible to pedestrians and vehicles via a venal. The row of brick garage and storage units could soon by given a new lease of life as plans lodged by Visser & Co Ltd, would see both the ground and second floors of the buildings stripped.
