Plans to bring a major new dine-in food market to Liverpool City Centre could be approved next week.
Manchester-based food and drink operator Mission Mars is aiming to open the new food market, going by the name of Zumhof Biergarten, in what used to be the Liv Organic and Natural Food Market in Radiant House in Bold Street.
It had been hoped the new venture would open up in 2020, but a full planning application has now been submitted to Liverpool Council, with a decision by the Planning Committee due on Tuesday.

The plans suggest Zumhof Biergarten will provide a 'new take on the indoor food market sector which is growing across the UK' and will operate as a dine-in food market and drinking venue with a range of artisan food spaces and bars serving Bavarian and local beers.
There are also plans for a number of kitchens to be let out to independent food retailers.
The planning application seeks permission for a change of use of the ground and basement floors of Radiant House from a commercial unit to a restaurant/bar together with two ground floor retail units.
The applicant wants to make minor changes to the building’s Bold Street shopfront, as well as create five windows at the building’s rear elevation on Wood Street, which supports a number of bars.
Mission Mars have already opened a Zumhof Biergarten in Birmingham's trendy Digbeth area.
The company is not new to Liverpool, having already opened the Albert's Shenke Bier Halle and Cook Haus in Hanover Street in 2019.
The company is also behind Rudy's Pizza, which now has two Liverpool venues in Castle Street and at the top of Bold Street.
The food market plans for Radiant House will be discussed and decided on at Tuesday's meeting at Liverpool Town Hall, with officers recommending they get the green light to go ahead.
