Pink fans are now counting the days down to her gigs in Sunderland and the music icon will be supported by a host of different acts on Wearside.
It was at the end of last year that Pink, the artist responsible for chart smashes like Just Like A Pill, Never Gonna Not Dance Again and Who Knew announced that she'd be returning to the Stadium of Light, having gone down a storm there in the past.
Many fans are calling her latest album Trustfall her best for years, with its title track definitely a contender for pop anthem of the year so far. And, while the setlist for her Summer Carnival tour is still a mystery; given that the shows don't get going until dates in Bolton later this wee; fans are very excited by the acts who are opening up for her.
Pink is in Sunderland on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, June 11 and she won't be the only big name on the stage as her main support is The Script, the Irish group who've given us classics like Breakeven, Superheroes and Hall of Fame. Fans had been concerned that the band would pull out of touring commitments, after the tragic death of member Mark Steele, but in the same week they do tribute shows in Mark's honour, they are set to perform in Sunderland too.
