Pink's Move to NYC Could Be a Hint She's Taking Over Kelly Clarkson's Show, Sources Claim

NBC may have found its next daytime host after Kelly Clarkson announced she was leaving her talk show, 'The Kelly Clarkson Show'. According to sources, Pink, who has been guest-hosting the programme, could eventually take over the slot.

For months, industry insiders have speculated about who could possibly fill the void left by the departure of a generational talent. Now, a series of high-profile real estate moves and whispers from the Manhattan elite suggest that the successor may have already been found in the form of another global pop icon.

'That's the Plan'

Alecia Moore, known professionally as Pink, has reportedly moved from the West Coast to New York City. Sources have said the move is not merely a change of scenery but a calculated professional transition. 'I saw her at Soho House yesterday with a guy who seemed to be part of [the] team,' a tipster told reporters. 'She spent a few hours reading paperwork and documents on a computer.'

A separate source said Pink's potential move into the role was not entirely surprising, given that she has already been appearing as a guest host and building familiarity with the show's regular audience. 'She's been guest-hosting and it seems she's doing very well, and that's the plan,' the source said. 'It's not clear how far along she is in the process with producers.' Pink is set to guest-host the programme for an entire week beginning Monday.

While no official contract has been signed, the chatter among production crews suggests that Pink is the front-runner to lead a new variety-style programme. Her recent sightings in the city have only intensified these claims, as she appears to be settling into a more permanent routine within the borough.

Why Kelly Clarkson Is Walking Away From Her Television Empire

The speculation follows Kelly Clarkson's recent and highly emotional announcement that her namesake show will conclude after its seventh season. The programme, which has become a staple of daytime entertainment, will leave behind a massive audience and a significant gap in the network's schedule.

Early in February, Clarkson shocked fans when she announced that 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' would end after seven seasons. In an announcement on Instagram, she said 'Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritise my kids, which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.'

She stated the same reason when asked about her departure from the show in a candid interview on 'Today'. Clarkson said that the decision to step down was rooted in her responsibilities at home. While it wasn't easy for her to leave the programme named after her, it was 'an easy decision as a mama.'

She admitted that the rigours of filming a daily show were becoming increasingly difficult to balance with her personal life. This shift in priorities has been met with widespread support from her fanbase, even as viewers mourn the end of a show that defined daytime TV for a decade.

Addressing Separation Rumours and the 'Fake News' Narrative

Separately, Pink's marriage came under scrutiny after reports claimed she and her husband, Carey Hart, had separated again. The couple first separated in 2008, two years after their marriage, before reconciling the following year.

Pink denied the reports, calling them 'fake news' in a video posted to Instagram. 'So I was just alerted to the fact that I'm separated from my husband,' she said. 'I didn't know. Thank you for letting me know. Would you also like to tell our children? My 14- and 9-year-old are also unaware.' She also urged fans not to believe anything about her unless it came directly from her.
