Pink hit out at a troll who used a photo of comedian and actress Suzy Eddie Izzard to wish her a happy birthday on social media.
The So What hitmaker, who celebrated her 44th birthday last Friday, responded to an X, formerly Twitter, user after they attempted to compare her to Izzard, 61.
The post — which read “Happy birthday Pink” — included a 2022 photo of the comedian, who has used she/her pronouns since 2020.
Responding to the pointed post, Pink replied: “Thank you so much. I just showed my 12-year-old daughter your post.
“I explained to her that I’ve never met you, I don’t know you, and I have no idea why you would go out of your way to be hateful.
“It was a good lesson in ignorance. Thank you. I still don’t know you. Congrats. You’re no one.”
Thank you so much.

I just showed my 12 year old daughter your post.
I explained to her that I’ve never met you, I don’t know you, and I have no idea why you would go out of your way to be hateful.
It was a good lesson in ignorance.
Thank you. I still don’t know you. Congrats.… https://t.co/QTA4QNxA87
The Grammy-winner added that while some “anonymous, lonely” people send hate on social media, most other fans are “rad”.
She continued: “What these kind of people are are anonymous, lonely and miserable. But most people are smart, good and rad.”
Pink also insisted the troll could have chosen a much “worse” photo to insult her with, rather than the glamorous photo of Izzard at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards in July 2022.
The singer, who has two children with sports star Carey Hart, added: “MOST IMPORTANTLY — what a wasted opportunity here.
“There are so many pictures you could’ve chosen that were actually me that were worse than this picture, you nameless f***o. At least be creative next time dum dum.”
In March, Izzard announced during a recording of The Political Party podcast that she was “gonna be Suzy Eddie Izzard” from now on.
In a wide-ranging Q&A with comedian Matt Forde, she said: “I’ve wanted to be S, U, Z, Y since I was 10.
“That’s how I’m gonna roll so people can choose what they want, they can’t make a mistake, they can’t go wrong.”
She joked: “I make mistakes with my own pronouns.”
Izzard also recently launched her campaign to become Labour’s candidate for the Brighton Pavilion constituency.
