He was taking the “air” out of AirDrop.
After passengers shared naked photos on an airplane, the pilot threatened to stop the entire flight and call in security.
The Southwest Airlines flight was on the ground in Houston, preparing for takeoff to Cabo San Lucas — a resort city on Mexico’s Baja California peninsula — when the pilot jumped on the intercom, as seen more than 2 million times in a viral TikTok video.
Passengers were apparently using Apple’s AirDrop feature to share the photos with unwitting fellow travelers.
“So here’s the deal. If this continues while we’re on the ground, I’m gonna have to pull back to the gate, everybody’s gonna have to get off, we’re gonna have to get security involved, and this vacation is gonna be ruined,” the pilot said.
“So you folks, whatever that AirDrop thing is, quit sending naked pictures, let’s get you to Cabo.”
The man behind the video, Teighlor Marsalis, said people actually listened to the captain’s instructions and nixed the naked pics.
“The flight made it happily to Cabo with no more nudes!” Marsalis told media outlets.
The pilot’s “Don’t make me turn this plane around!” rant made waves online.
“This feels like my mom turning around in the car to me and my twin sister: ‘IF YOU TWO DON'T STOP... I SWEAR TO GOD,’” one commenter wrote.
