AHMEDABAD: A PIL seeking directions to authorities to curb outbreaks of communicable diseases like malaria, dengue, chikungunya, swine flu, and leptospirosis was withdrawn from Gujarat high court on Tuesday.
Advocate K R Koshti withdrew the litigation with permission from the court to file it afresh, when the need arises. The lawyer cited Gujarat's rural health statistics report to highlight the dearth of doctors in health centres and hospitals who cannot deal with the problem.
