Piers Morgan says Harry will betray promise to the Queen if he releases 'salacious' book

Piers Morgan has insisted that Prince Harry will betray his promise to the late Queen and his father if he releases his 'salacious' tell-all book.

Following the sad news of Queen Elizabeth's death last Thursday, Prince Harry made a vow to honour his father, King Charles, seemingly putting their ongoing rift aside following the colossal loss of the longest-running monarch in British history.

Prince Harry, 37, said goodbye to his 'Grannie' in a heartbreaking statement, adding that he and wife Meghan Markle are set to devout themselves to 'honouring' King Charles III in his new reign.

Despite Harry's kind words about his father amid their ongoing rift, Piers Morgan has hit out at the dad-of-two, insisting that the idea of honouring his father is a mere phrase if he and Meghan have no intentions of dropping the release of their 'salacious' book about the wrongdoings of the Royal family.

In his latest column on the Royal family since the Queen's death on September 8, Piers penned: "I was told by someone very close to Charles that he was 'deeply hurt and utterly bemused' by his younger son’s behaviour toward him.

"In a series of bitter, angry attacks since quitting the royal family and Britain, Harry has accused his father of bad parenting, cutting him off from financial support, and inflicting 'genetic pain and suffering' on him that has damaged his mental health.

"He and his wife, Meghan, have also hurled endless other incendiary bombs at the royals, branding them a bunch of callous, uncaring racists," Piers continued in reference to Meghan and Harry's bombshell Oprah Winfrey interview in March 2021.

Piers went on to insist that Harry has been treating his father in a 'dismissive way', making a mockery of the couple’s 'supposed commitment to compassion'.

"He’s written a supposed 'tell-all' book due to be published later this year or early next, in which he will reportedly rip into the royals yet again in what Harry says will be a 'first-hand account of my life that’s accurate and wholly truthful'.

"Is that the same kind of 'accurate and wholly truthful' garbage that he and Meghan spewed to Oprah, much of which has since been proved to be utter nonsense?" Piers questioned.

The former Good Morning Britain star went on to reveal that one of 'Charles’ aides' told him that the palace is 'absolutely dreading the book'.

Members of the Royal establishment are 'fearing it will drip with poisonous new allegations and target his wife, Camilla, as some kind of revenge for her role in the break-up of Harry’s parents’ marriage'.

"Any such attack, coming from the new monarch’s own son, will thus be devastating," Piers insisted.

The TV presenter has long made his feelings towards Meghan and Harry clear.

In March 2021, Piers said goodbye to Good Morning Britain after six long years after thousands of complaints about his controversial opinion on Meghan, suggesting that she had lied about her confessions during the bombshell Oprah interview.

Last week, following the news of Queen Elizabeth's death at 96, Piers Morgan was one of the first celebrities to pay tribute to the monarch.

Piers described the queen as 'dignified, humble, wise, stoic, and dedicated to duty and service to the country she loved', as well as the 'greatest monarch in history and the greatest of Britons'.
