Piers Morgan has described the lengthy delay caused by a technical issue in Leeds United's clash against Arsenal at Elland Road as "VAR hell".
The match was only a little over one minute old when referee Chris Kavanagh drew a halt to proceedings due to an apparent issue with his microphone.
It soon emerged that a power cut in Beeston had caused a loss of communication between the officials at Elland Road and the VAR station at Stockley Park. The goal line technology system and television feeds were also affected.

The players initially passed the ball amongst themselves in anticipation of a restart, as Kavanagh talked with both Jesse Marsch and Mikel Arteta. But they were soon ordered to return to the dressing room whilst the issue was rectified.
Play was resumed after a 35-minute delay and Morgan has taken to Twitter to air his frustration at the controversial video review system.
Morgan tweeted: "FFS. The Leeds/Arsenal game is currently suspended because the referee has lost tech comms contact with an automated system that always gets it wrong anyway. We've reached peak VAR hell."
