PIERS MORGAN branded Celtic supporters "heartless" after the anti-monarchy banner and chants ahead of their match against St Mirren.
Celtic fans in the away end in Paisley displayed a banner which read "If you hate the Royal Family, clap your hands" ahead of kick-off.
And loud chants using the same words could be heard both inside the stadium and on live TV coverage during a minute's applause ahead of kick-off.
St Mirren had confirmed a minute's applause would be held before the match to honour the Queen after she passed away last week.
But Sky Sports coverage picked up the anti-monarchy chants inside the stadium with images displaying the Celtic fan banners.
Now, broadcaster Morgan has slammed the Celtic supporters who took part in the chants and display as he branded them "heartless".
The outspoken Morgan highlighted the "contrast" from tributes in England to the Celtic fan display as he slammed those who "chose to mock & taunt" the Queen.
Morgan tweeted: "Magnificent applause at Brentford/Arsenal on 70th minute for the Queen, and stirring spontaneous singing of National Anthem.
"What a contrast to the heartless Celtic fans that chose to mock & taunt a 96yr-old woman who loved Scotland so much."
