TV presenter and journalist Piers Morgan has announced that he has interviewed Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo, in what he has described as the "most explosive interview" the 37-year-old has ever given.
Morgan made the announcement on his Twitter page shortly before 9pm on Sunday evening, urging his followers to stay tuned for "news" at 10pm. The former Good Morning Britain host has interviewed the United ace, who missed Sunday's 2-1 win over Fulham through illness, for his TV show, Piers Morgan Uncensored.
Details of what the interview will contain are yet to have been revealed by Morgan, with the 10pm announcement set to reveal more. Morgan has claimed to have a close relationship with the Portuguese star in recent years, ever since interviewing him back in 2019.

The former Britain's Got Talent judge has regularly waxed lyrical about the five-time Ballon d'Or winner on social media, often getting into arguments and debates with his Twitter followers. However, he has secured the interview that Ronaldo promised to give back in August.
The United striker, who is out-of-contract at Old Trafford next summer, vowed to reveal the "truth" about his future and his transfer stand-off with the club during the summer in an interview.
At the time, he posted on his social media accounts: "They know the truth when they interview in a couple weeks. The media is telling lies. I have a notebook and in the last few months of the 100 news I made, only five were right. Imagine how it is. Stick with that tip."
Ronaldo wanted to leave United during the summer but the club regularly knocked back his pleas to leave Old Trafford in pursuit of Champions League football. He has struggled for form so far this season, scoring just three goals in 16 appearances.
Cristiano Ronaldo's interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored will appear on TalkTV in a two-part special at 8pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
