Pierre Reedy set for Dundee deal as Gary Bowyer looks to bolster Championship promotion push

Dundee are looking to bolster their final Championship title charge with the signing of American Pierre Reedy.

Record Sport understands he 25-year-old midfielder is set to pen a deal for the rest of the season. Reedy has impressed Dundee manager Gary Bowyer in training and the Dark Blues are hoping he gets international clearance before next Saturday’s clash with Hamilton. Reedy left Real Monarchs in December, after a campaign in the MLS’s next pro. Monarchs are the second team for Real Salt Lake. Reedy had an agreement he could leave if he got the chance to play in Europe.

He has now got that chance with the Dark Blues, as they push for promotion back to the Premiership. Second-placed Dundee are looking to overtake leaders Queen’s Park. They trail the Spiders by four points, but will be hoping Arbroath can do them a favour and prevent Owen Coyle’s team stretching their lead to seven by holding them on Saturday.
