Comedian Pierre Novellie has a problem. As he explains at the start of his show Why Can’t I Just Enjoy Things? he feels that everything in life is very much six out of 10. Or three stars. Fortunately there is no such issue with his show, which is very much eight out of 10. Definitely four stars.
On the surface this set is a standard roll-call of relatable off-the-peg comedy pet peeves. People who use ‘crying laughing’ emojis when they like something. Audience members who munch and crunch on too many noisy snacks in the theatre. Though some might say his gripe about the latter, while thoroughly justified, should really be with the venues who sell crisps and crackly plastic bags.
