Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s personal Arsenal decision could help speed up Chelsea transfer

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Chelsea is a rumour gaining much more traction as the days progress.

With Timo Werner's RB Leipzig return confirmed and Hakim Ziyech still insistent on an AC Milan move, Chelsea and new owner Todd Boehly need to seek out more transfer reinforcements further up the pitch if they are serious about catching Liverpool and Man City this summer. Work is going on in different areas of the pitch to reinforce further there, with both Wesley Fofana and Frenkie de Jong's progress being made in different ways, but up top, it's still early doors for any deals and the progression being made.

Barcelona's decision to sign Robert Lewandowski this summer has allowed Thomas Tuchel an opportunity to look seriously at a striker who scored 70+ plus goals under his management when together at Borussia Dortmund. "I would be interested in the 79 goals! We will not comment further," he joked in his pre-match press conference for Everton. "There are a lot of names out there, sometimes due to the fact we discuss a lot of names but also sometimes pure speculation. We will not get involved."

Whilst Tuchel didn't want to get involved in all the talk, Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that he is the key figure. Tuchel could push Todd Boehly into making a £17million plus offer for a player who has given the club the 'green light' to make a bid, as The Telegraph report that despite being happy in Spain, he will listen to any proposals before making a final decision.

He tweeted: 'Thomas Tuchel is pushing with Todd Boehly to sign Pierre Aubameyang as he's considered perfect striker - but Barcelona have not received an official proposal yet. Chelsea are considering Auba as an option, as revealed last week.'

With it now being highly likely that a bid is to be made for the former Arsenal talisman in the forthcoming days, the 33-year-old has done something after he left north London which could help speed up a potential London return if he was satisfied with the terms of any offer.

This is because, as Simon Phillips reported, Barca's number 17 has apparently kept and still has his house in London from his Arsenal days. Therefore, the house hunting process for the African striker will not have to proceed if a deal can be agreed with both the club and representatives.

Chelsea fans- If Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Wilfried Zaha were to sign before the transfer window closes, would those two signings solve all the Blues' attacking problems? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below!
