Chelsea star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he would like to return to Barcelona as rumours over a potential exit from Stamford Bridge persist. The former Arsenal captain only joined the Blues last summer, joining up with Thomas Tuchel, whom he played under in his time at Borussia Dortmund.
That rekindling didn't last long though as he was later dismissed, with Graham Potter eventually taking over from the German coach. Under the new manager, the striker found appearances hard to come by as he was eventually left out of the Champions League squad for the latter rounds.
With Chelsea's goal scoring woes, it left questions hanging over the coach as to how a proven scorer was left out of the squad, for him only to get dismissed shortly after. Bruno Saltor and Frank Lampard have since taken interim charge, with some sporadic minutes for Aubameyang.

However, with the summer window fast approaching, it appears as though his short flutter with the blue side of London is set to come to a halt. A reunion at Barcelona has been rumoured, given his love for the club during his short spell there after leaving Arsenal.
Discussing his future on a TikTok live, the striker was asked about a return to Barca and he told DjamLife, via Fabrizio Romano: "I’d like to return to Barcelona… but we will see." Romano himself claims that the striker will definitely leave the Blues when the summer rolls around.
Barca are open to make a switch possible, but for their finances, it will have to be a deal that includes no transfer fee and a reduced salary. With that in mind, it remains to be seen whether it will happen or not.
